Yes, your new sugar glider will bond to you. He isn't old at all, he will most likely live for another ten years. Just give him a few weeks to get used to you and his new surroundings. He could be slower because he is a few years old or maybe his old home enabled him to prounce around. He could also have strange sleeping habits because at his other home, he could have been played with until that time or based his sleep with his owner. To know for sure I would recommend calling your vet. It will definitly be worth it, my hamster died yesturday on my birthday and the vet was great help to me. I hope all goes well!
