Monte Carlo SS 1984 - Want Turbocharger and etc...?

Basically, I'm looking for a way to half my miles per gallon I'm currently getting lol. Before I go further, for all you people who say, "Hey why would you jack up that car? not worth it!," I'm looking to be original with my car of choice. Now, which installments could I make to this car to basically make it accelerate as fast as the tank could possibly go? Now remember, I'm not rich, but am willing to push money into this. Please offer a variety of answers and prices, for I'm trying to make the best possible choice for HER (my beloved hulking piece of metal). Thanks guys and come up with a bunch of ideas! Really want to race this car so it can redeem it's glory.
