How can my 3 cats and 3 Chihuahuas get along?

We have 3 older female cats ( 8-12 yrs old) and then got a male chihuahua 2 yrs ago, a female chihuahua 1 yr ago, then another male chihuahua puppy 6 months ago. The cats used to hang around downstairs until the female chi started chasing them and the male chi's would join in. The youngest cat still hangs out downstairs however she stays up high. The other cats stay upstairs and one of them has pooped upstairs probably because they could not come down and use their box. The cats are inside, the dogs get walked nightly 1 1/2 miles and frequently run in the backyard. The female chi seems to be the aggressive one. Is there anyway to restore harmony?

My partner supposedly fathered a child when he was 17 hes now 32 and has not been completely honest with me!?

Do you remember how you were taught your handwriting skills?

Yes, we had lined paper - heavy line to mark where the top of the letter should be, and a fainter line where the middle of the letter should be. The middle line was also used for lower case letters and the heavy line for upper case. We used pencils and did the loops and lines until we were proficient, and then ... the big event ... we moved on to ink. Each desk had an inkwell that was filled each day. While learning to use ink there were a lot of blots and spills, but eventually we got the hang of it and after that we were allowed to use fountain pens. We were taught to use a sloping forward style of handwriting, backward sloping was frowned upon and using circles to dot the letters 'i' and 'j' was virtually a death penalty offense. We were taught that the whole point of writing was to communicate and if your handwriting were illegible then you would be failing in one of the most basic needs.

My Cat is Hissing & Growling TONS!?

I was woken up this morning around 5am by my cat making horrible noises. It looks like she picked up a bag from a recent shopping trip (she likes to lick plastic bags). She apparently dragged it into my bedroom with the stuff in it, she then dumped it out and caused items to fall off my night stand. This apparently scared her into to freaking out. She then hid under my bed and every time i moved she would hiss and growl really loud. She finally quieted down so I left the room. She came out about an hour later, and was meowing that she was scared, so I picked her up, gave her a kitty treat and she was fine. I left for about 5 minutes to take out trash and when I returned she meowed again and promptly ran about 10 feet away, hissing at my other cat (which has lived here over a year with her) and then hiding under the futon growling and hissing whenever I walk past. She just recently ran down the hall and is hiding under my bed. How do I get her to stop this? Usually when she knocks something down she just runs away, why freak out so much this time?

I got caught driving without a license. i got a citation to go to court. so i went back like 3 times until finally they said i would have to pay a $300 fine and they made another date for me to come back to make payment arrangements. i left my paper work in my friends car and i totally forgot about it. i missed my court date and im pretty sure the paper work said id have a warrent out for my arrest if i didnt show up. i have the money for the fine in whole. my question is whats the best way to do this? should i just show up at the police station with the money or? Why is it all shareware? What is going on in the world that you can't just transfer the music and junk from your ipod touch to your pc without paying? Some years ago i was teaching my sister some rollerblading tricks. I could do a 360 spin (like a figure skater). I showed my sister how to do it and she was like i can do that watch me... I had just barely showed her when she was starting to spin . Instead of like keeping her feet to the side and complete the 360 spin.....she some how pointed her toes upwards and her heels downwards and made a sudden stop that caused her to fall real hard-chin down onto the cement. She started bleeding like crazy. I ran to get my dad and we rushed her to the ER. She received 15 stitches on her chin and was left with a tiny scar. She says it's a reminder to not Rollerblade ever again.

I'm guessing you were a Windows user like myself before getting an iMac. I got an iMac late last year, and yes, it's quite a big change from Windows, but if you give it chance, it is way more intuitive and fun than Windows. As for right-click, you can customise that in the settings where there is a section labelled 'mouse', and if you don't like the mouse that comes with the iMac, which I presume you are using, you can buy one from another company (most mice work with both Windows and Mac). The sound thing sounds (no pun intended lol) a bit unusual, and you should speak to Apple or the store it was bought from about it. . Really, if you give it a try and keep an open mind you may end up loving it :)

beings how your not in 6th grade, id definitely loose the lyrics to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air at the beginning. hahhaha. and instead of always saying "john said" or "she said" alternate between saying "john stated" "john muttered" "john mentioned" or other creative ways of telling who says what. a teacher told me that once and it really does make all the difference when reading something. other then that and some grammatical errors, i think its pretty good [: love your descriptive details, imagery is everything.

What to plant, where I have to plant it?

I am about to move in a house with no plants around it. Its in the country right next to a large wooded area. I have huge mud holes along the front of the house on each side of the small porch. The ground a couple of feet in front of the holes then throughout the yard is hard soil. The front only catches morning and afternoon sun. I want a non-expensive type of shrubbery for the front and some small flowers to plant in front of the shrubs. I want to also place some cacti on the right side of the house that will catch all the sun. Question is....1. Can i cure a puppy with parvo with a catheter and other prescribed meds?

Are you giving him anything for vomiting and diarrhea? The 2 main things is to keep him hydrated and try to keep him from vomiting. Are you giving him fluids under the skin or IV? If so then you should not give him anything to drink because that will cause more vomiting. You also do not want to offer him any food until he has stopped vomiting. He needs something very bland when it is time to eat again. Penicillin and Gentamicin are both antibiotics. I don't see anything for nausea. He needs something for nausea ASAP.

My girlfriend has a 6 yr. old cat. I have dated her for 2 years. Anyway I am severly allergic to her cat. I break out in hives and cant breathe. I take benadryl, makes me so tired. And I have taken chlortymaton (non drowsy form of benadryl) for the two years. It helps a little. But I can't take that for another ten years. Anyway we bought the cat a bunch of toys and goodies and put him in one room in the house, as opposed to having the entire house to himself like he used to. My question is, to see if this is mean to the cat. We still go in and pet him as much as possible especially my gf. He isn't acting out at all and the vet said that another cat may not be good, seeing how territorial cats are. Is it cruel to keep him in one room of the house, to help cut down on my allergies. I would never ask my gf to give up her cat. But I need to find a happy medium where he is happy and I'm not in hives and watery, red, itchy eyes. Let me know what you think. IThanks

Has anyone heard of a JUG? Half Pug and Half Jack Russell?

I have a European Staffard Bull Terrier. He is 1 1/2 yrs old. I love the breed and had 2 b-4. But now I have a JUG! My staffard and the Jug get along great. My problem is the Jug is so diffrent. He barks all the time, he acts like he is starving. I only feed my dogs 2 times a day! Morning and night. I have always done that with all my dogs. I crate train my dogs. And the jug learned really fast and had my staffard as a great trainer. But he is so diffrent and I dont know much about the breed. I know there are websites and I've done that. If your wondering why I got a Jug! Its 'cause my in-laws bought it for my 10yr old and of course he is now mine. I love dogs so I dont mind but I want to know more about them,,, Thank you

Drills for my backyard rink?

hey, i have a 40 by 80 rink in my backyard. no paint at all, and about 4 inch boards, and big golf nets behind the hockey nets to stop pucks from flying out. im 14 years old. im a goalie for one bantam team, and a skater for a different bantam team. playing goalie is my priority. but what are some drills i can do on a rink like mine to improve? (skating out OR playing goalie) any drills and information is helpful. and i have 14 brothers and sisters, and 9 of them are older than me and play hockey, so i definitely have enough shooters for goalie and extra people in case i need it. even drills without pucks (for goalie or skate) are helpful. any drills at all.

How do I tell my "friend" that he annoys me?

I would just tell him to go away sometimes, but I'm still in a lot of cles with him (and the same sports, and we're in a band together) and I see him a lot, so I don't want to completely break him off. Why do some dentists not offer to pay in installments for treatment?

I have to have 3 large fillings done in a weeks time (my mouth is full of mercury fillings!) and I want to have these white - eventually change them all to white ones. I remember watching this cartoon immediately after Denver the Last Dinosaur during the summer. I have had this cat since I was 10 years old. I am now 25 so it has been pretty rough the last couple of days. She died this past Sunday. I don't know how to cope and I have taken an emotional blow. I feel guilty because I am away on school and I feel that I abandoned her-she was living with my parents so she is much of their cat as she is mine. Please don't say she is easy to replace ( I don't see living things as commodities). I'm not sure what to do but I did see it coming although she didn't have a chronic disease. She died peacefully in her sleep in her favorite resting place curled in a fetal position. Every time I have dealt with death, it lingered a bit before it struck. I think the hardest part is remembering her when she was young & full of life and then watching her age to a withered being before my eyes.

I am on day 32 of my menstrual cycle. I have quite irregular periods and can get my period any time between 28 and 38 days. I have had pre menstrual cramps like my period is coming, all week. Usually they only last about 4 days then I get my period like clockwork. My are sorer and larger than usual and I kept getting a queasy feeling in my stomach all day yesterday. Feeling sick. Help me figure out what to do?

Hey everyone, so my dad just recently got sick about 5-6 days ago or so and I caught whatever he has. The problem is - is that I'm trying to figure out what to do as far as treatment and stuff. i have a sore/scratchy/dry throat, stuffy nose, cough, and have been coughing up phlegm. I've been gargling with salt water and drinking ginger root and teas and such but nothing is really helping too much. Please Help! Got a new kitten and now these past few days have been a nightmare.?

Ok, I adopted this adorable 7 month kitten from the Humane Society last Monday and it's been a nightmare since, I noticed that the kitten had diarrhea the first day I brought him home and the odor was very strong, the next day he started to sneeze and had some drainage (clear) from his rt. eye, well I called my vet and made a appt. we had a snow storm so it got cx. till thursday, well in between my other 2 cats started to sneeze so I ended up bringing in all 3 cats, they took a stool sample from the new cat also well the vet started all cats on antibiotics,2 are on clavamox and the other is on Baytril and also eye oint terramycin 2 of them have to given that because she took a swab and it showed some bacterial cells in it, well on friday I got a call on the stool that they took on the new cat and it came back pos. for coccidial infection so she started all 3 on Albon liquid, well since I all these medications the 1 of the cats won't eat but is drinking some water the other got terrible diarrhea and vomiting, I was able to get in touch with the office on Saturday and was told to stop the clavamox on the cat who was having the diarrhea and vomiting but make sure to give the Albon, ok it's now Sunday the cat I stopped the clavamox started to vomit again, the other is the same and the only one who is doing better is the one that I got from the humane society, he still has diarrhea but has a appetite. so long story my 2 other cats that were not sick are sick now from the medication and the other one seems better but still has diarrhea. I will be calling the vet tomorrow but has anybody gone through something like this,this has cost me over 500.00 dollars already which I don't have to be paying for vets and this will set me back in paying my home bills, and also I called the humane society told them the story and they are going to have a supervisor call me tomorrow and they apologized to me and that unfortunately that this cat slipped through, oh it also had live fleas in it.He did say I could bring it back and I said yea after I spent all this money, but until I talk to the vet tomorrow I am stopping the meds on my other 2 cats because I am afraid they are going to get dehydrated and the cat that I got from the Humane Society I will continue the medications. he other 2 need a break and let there tummies rest.

ive always used clip ons and never had a problem. you could super glue the clip if you afraid it will come off, but any chain problems ive had did not have anything to do with the master link. but if you do big jumps i can understand your concern. but if the chain is adjusted for the right slack i would be more worried about blowing a rear shock on landing or many other things, you gotta think of it like this. the clip on has been around how long??

Call of Duty Black Ops sucks?

I bought it today and I surprisingly find it worst than Modern Warfare 2. The problems with it that I find is the hit detection and how many bullets it takes to kill. It takes about 5+ bullets to kill. Sometimes I aim at some guy standing still and not all the bullets actually hit the guy. I regret buying CoD: Black Ops. I would rather rent a hooker for 5 minutes. F-1 student, out of status? I-130 approved?

I came to school here on F-1 and have been in school for the past three years. Last semester I was dropped out of one of my cles because I had already taken that in another school. This brought my credits to 11 and i couldn't register for any other cl because it was post-registration period. My international students advisor cancelled my I-20 because I was taking less than full course load and hence out of status. I wasn't aware of this until I tried to register for cles this semester. I've been petitioned and approved for I-130 . Due to this, my advisor will not help me reinstate as an F-1 because he says it'll be denied because the I-130 approval void my F-1 status based on dual intent. A hold on my registration has been removed and i've been allowed to enroll for cles this semster. Now what is my status now? Is there such a thing as "waiting status"? I spoke with another DSO in another school and they said I should be allowed to enroll whiles I wait on my priority date to be current. Is that correct? I've also contacted an immigration lawyer but she has no idea of how to help. SHe's blaming me for dropping a cl. I'm just worried that I might be served a deportation letter sooner or later.

Should I adopt a dog from a rescue or from a breeder?

I know exactly the dog breed I want, mini schnauzer, but don't know where to get it from. I love the concept of rescues but like the information on the dog that the breeder can provide. In my area, rescues and breeders adopt the dog for the same price - so that really isn't a factor. I tend towards a breeder but my heart strings tug me in the direction of a rescue. Boot Camp Bluetooth Problems?

I got a new bluetooth headset (Cellular Innovations BlueStar HFBLU-1K) and paired it with Mac OS X. It worked great. Then when I went into boot camp (windows 7) and tried to pair it, it didn't work. I turned on the headset and a little balloon in the corner popped up and said: A Bluetooth Device Is Trying To Connect. Allow This?. When I clicked it, I entered in the p for the device and it began to try to install the drivers. Then a balloon popped up and said: Failed to install drivers. Look for Solutions?. When I click this, it tells me to install a driver from the BroadCom website. that didn't work. I even tried reinstalling the boot Camp drivers. That didn't work, either.

Can my wife keep me from my children without proof of abuse?

Respondent(me) should pay child support, health insurance premiums, 50% of uninsured expenses, day care for children while case is pending. I should be denied access to the children and that i should pay all of my wife's attorney fees and interest. All this with no proof, we have been together since Oct 1995 and married since mar 2002. Her mom says we are not married because it was never recorded in the Arizona Pima county court system (wife didn't send it in, didn't want her mom to find out) even though its the person the performed the marriage responsibility to send it to the clerks office. My wife also does all the taxes and always files Married - filling jointly and the military sees us as married and I have copies of the license / certificate and she uses her married last name when it benefits her. So, I am interested in purchasing a G&L Comanche guitar. I've always liked them, their feel & sound. I recognize that G&L is technically a Fender since it was Leo Fender's last company before he ped away. My question is this...what did he create & or modify within G&L that he couldn't with Fender. The ASAT & other models are Strats & Teles but what other differences are there. The Comanche guitar is priced much higher $1200 range retail (might be marked up quite a bit here) than the average American made strat $700-800). If anyone can provide me with any info.
