Why are candidates avoiding the Amnesty Question?

Only two of the candidates have taken a hard stand on the illegal alien problem and one of them has now dropped out of the race. Romney is not afraid to say what has to be said about rounding up the illegal aliens and deporting them and rewriting our laws to better manage the amnesty program. Others say they support "comprehensive Immigration Reform" but that includes amnesty for those here. The Washington Post has a place where people can voice their opinions. Everyone needs to go to washingtonpost.com and push for enforcement of our current immigration laws, locating and deporting the illegal aliens, and securing our borders. AS IMPORTANT; prosecute those who offer incentives to the illegal aliens to come to our country (as Giuliani did and Huckabee did). Can we force our government to comply with the law? Are there other places we can post our objections to amnesty for illegal aliens?
