Breakthrough bleeding?? help?

i am 2 weeks into my pill as iv just started it the doctor told me to take it when i start my period then finished the pack have a period with no pills then when it stops take them again ect im onto my second week of starting the pill and i think iv got breakthrough bleeding can you still have during this or will it make me bleed more? thanks
