Should my boyfriend be this mad over this?

Today I went to the mall and bought my first vibrator. I told my boyfriend about it and he freaked out and said that if I keep it, then he can't be with me. He's taking the situation way out of proportion and saying "What am I not good enough?" I keep telling him that I'm 18 years old and this isn't out of the ordinary for a teenage girl. He's not understanding that at all and he keeps thinking that he's not good enough.
