What does 3 dots mean?

Ok I have heard that it is like the sign of the devil.. this may sound retarded but i been hearing like weird ghost noises and seeing strange things and i woke up the other day and i had 3 dots burned on my shoulder like in a triangular form.. Umm if anyone can let me know if it means anything
