What does it mean to read the Bible Prayerfully?

I have been reading the Bible and I have asked some questions to some devout Christians and they have told me to read lets say the "book of Romans" "prayerfully", that it will be spiritually enriching to be able to get an answer to my question or doubts. Every time I read the Bible I ask the Father through the Holy Spirit and the grace of his Son to give me disernment and knowledge, etc regarding reading the Bible. But I don't exactly know what "prayerfully" means? This sounds to me like read the bible but as a prayer?
